- COMPLEMÉNTENSE ! Cuando elijan un outfit siempre es mejor que elijan complementarse, puede ser llevando la misma gama de colores o colores que queden bien entre sí, pero no es necesario que vayan vestidos exactamente iguales.
- COLORES. En términos de ropa, recomiendo que usen colores complementarios. Típicamente recomiendo que usen colores neutros. Neutros no tiene por qué significar gris o marrón, puede haber neutros en cada color. Puede ser un color mostaza, verde seco, azul marino, naranja apagado, etc. Traten de mantenerse alejados de los colores fluorescentes o chillones.
- ESTAMPAS. Eviten las estampas grandes, llamativas y locas. Si los estampados son muy llamativos van a distraer la atención de sus caras en las fotos. Las flores y las rayas sutiles siempre quedan bien. Eviten mezclar varios tipos de estampas porque también distraerían la atención de ustedes y del paisaje.
- PLANCHEN bien la ropa antes de la sesión así evitan marcas molestas que luego se verían mal en las fotografías.
- ELIJAN UNA PALETA DE COLORES. Yo diría que elijan 2 o 3 colores, así todos pueden complementarse con el otro. Digamos que son una familia de 4, 2 pueden usar jeans azul oscuro y 2 jeans azul claro. Si usan pantalones oscuros, usen blusas o camisetas de colores claros para contrastar. Y si estás usando un pantalón claro, usen camisetas oscuras. Si quieren pueden hacer que los niños combinen con los padres o entre ellos.
- MOVILIDAD. Si tienen niños pequeños, vístanlos con ropa que les permita moverse con facilidad, con la que estén cómodos y que no tengan que estar ajustando en continuidad para las fotos.
- EVITEN LAS ESTAMPAS. Cuando hay más de 2 personas en las fotos es especialmente importante evitar las estampas grandes y llamativas. Las estampas que usen deberían ser mínimas.

- PICK A COLOR SCHEME! I would say to pick about 2-3 different colors so you all can complement each other. Say you have a family of 4, make 2 people wear dark blue jeans and 2 other people light blue ones. If you wear dark pants, you would want to wear a light colored shirt, if you are wearing light pants, you should wear a dark shirt.You can bring your kiddos in matching outfits if you want, or you can make them complement your outfit.
- KIDS MOVE AROUND. If you have younger kids, put them in an outfit they are comfortable in and something they won’t be constantly adjusting.
- STAY AWAY FROM PATTERNS. Especially when there are more than 2 people try your best to stay away from patterns. If 3 people are wearing patterns other people aren’t going to be looking at your family, there will be looking at your outfits. If you do want to wear somethings with a pattern, try and keep it very minimal.
- Be sure to IRON your clothes, so the aren’t wrinkles distracting from your faces.
- COMPLEMENT AND MATCH! While picking an outfit, you always want to match or to contrast against each other, it’s your choice.
- COLORS. In terms of clothes, I recommend that you wear complementary colors. I also typically recommend using neutrals. Neutral doesn’t have to mean grey and brown, there are neutrals in every color! Like mustard yellow, forest green, navy blue, burnt orange, etc. I would stay away from bright, fluorescent and distracting colors.
- PATTERNS. Avoid big, loud, chunky, crazy patterns. If a pattern is too loud, it will distract from your face. Flowers and minimal patterns are always a yes in my book! Avoid pairing too many patterns together because it also will distract the attention from you and the location.
- Be sure to IRON your clothes, so there aren’t huge wrinkles distracting from your faces either !
